First shocked by the Dixon pardon then knocked off my feet by the Pennsylvania corrupt judge-kids to jail pardon. The latter pardon injures a whole state. No politics at this site, which is nice, so I hope this is not a violation: the corrupt judge pardon will hurt the Democratic party in Pennsylvania in the future.

There are some awful people in this pile of commutations, and I found more from other people talking about this. This isn't even a partisan thing -- I'm finding people of all political stripes angered by the various people with sentences commuted. The kids-for-cash one has got a LOT of people angry -- and that's bipartisan.

Now, in many cases, the time left on the sentence wasn't long, but that's not true in all cases.

That involves people who were convicted of medical fraud, a Ponzi scheme, and drug dealing.

Looking at my graphs, most of those who got compassionate release would have been in prison on drug charges.
