First shocked by the Dixon pardon then knocked off my feet by the Pennsylvania corrupt judge-kids to jail pardon. The latter pardon injures a whole state. No politics at this site, which is nice, so I hope this is not a violation: the corrupt judge pardon will hurt the Democratic party in Pennsylvania in the future.

There are some awful people in this pile of commutations, and I found more from other people talking about this. This isn't even a partisan thing -- I'm finding people of all political stripes angered by the various people with sentences commuted. The kids-for-cash one has got a LOT of people angry -- and that's bipartisan.

Now, in many cases, the time left on the sentence wasn't long, but that's not true in all cases.

I have found this piece on Michigan folks with commuted sentences:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/biden-list-commutations-includes-three-110504565.html

That involves people who were convicted of medical fraud, a Ponzi scheme, and drug dealing.

Looking at my graphs, most of those who got compassionate release would have been in prison on drug charges.
