Great work, feel bad she’s getting piled on so hard on Twitter... wish people would learn the art of polite correction...

Anyway when you ran the cohorts by race did you exclude Hispanic and Asian from white people? On mobile and haven’t downloaded the XLS yet.

Because of the original data set, the "White" going back to 1950 does include Hispanic ethnicity. If I wanted it split out by non-Hispanic White, I would have had a shorter time series.

There is a weird trend going on with Hispanic life expectancy, and I think part of that can be ill-defined nature of Hispanic/Latino over the years which can make it difficult to get good rate estimates. There are estimates for other ethnic/racial groups, but they're even smaller, so the "error bars" get even bigger.
