I don't know anything about them specifically, but looked at them. Yes, that's the sort of thing I was doing back in the mid-2000s, cutting carbs, switching to healthier fats, etc.
That helped me a lot after my third child, when I had gained a lot of weight and had a bunch of problems.
As noted many times -- I'm not a doc or nutritionist myself (nor was Stu). Stu switched up his diet multiple times due to changing health conditions himself. In my own case, I'm switching to something like a Japanese diet right now, which is a bit different (and has a bunch of rice).
But I think it's a good idea to look at dietary interventions, if you can keep to them. There's really no point if you really can't stand the particular food (or have a difficult time getting the food or preparing it.) That's why I'm doing the Japanese food thing -- I'm staring at a huge bag of rice, loads of tofu and miso, and all those Japanese cookbooks I bought Stu over the years. Dangit, I'm going to figure it out.
I stumbled on that program, it was free from my wife's company/provider, given my biometrics at the time. I shed 30 pounds and have maintained my weight for over 6 months. I am no strict, I am more mindful of intake. I accept that one approach does not work for all. I appreciate your feedback. Cheers.
