I haven't read the Master & Commander books in years, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. I loved the contrast between Aubrey and Maturin as characters. It's unfortunate they didn't make a second movie, since the stage was set for a Master & Commander sequel.
Yeah, I'm on the second book now, and Aubrey is always such a doofus on shore. The love interests are finally introduced, and I always thought of Diana as being Vivien Leigh.
Can't wait to get to the one about the stock market fraud (that's several books away, I know).
